Named for the Kunde's son, this vineyard currently features Merlot in six different clones grafted to Couderc 3309 rootstock. Matthew's Station also contains a special planting of Tannat vines on the same type of rootstock.
Matthew McClelland Kunde: Matt, at thirteen years old and in the eighth grade. His grapes are under contract to Blackstone Winery. He belongs to Green Valley 4-H, Forestville FFA and likes showing his Brown Swiss Heifers at the Sonoma County Fair. Pictured at the 2003 Sonoma County Fair are Matt with his Brown Swiss heifer Traskview Javaman Rosa, when she was selected Supreme Jr. Champion by judge George Nunes, with Dairy Princess Angela Krout presenting the supreme ribbon.
